 Mischief Leaving Key West

Mischief Approaching the 7 Mile Bridge on the Way to Faro Blanco

Trip Motto:  What'd you do that for?

We met our Annapolis Sailing School skipper/instructor, Capt. Joe, and boarded Mischief , along with another couple at Boot Key Harbor, Marathon, FL.   We provisioned the boat for five people for a week with the $100 he provided and started out for Key West.  Capt. Joe covered every aspect of bareboating from springing 180° at dock, to bumping the bottom in the middle of the night at anchor.   We  sailed to a new ancorage daily and returned the boat a week later to Marathon.  All this and we never saw a sunset on  Mallory's Dock.  The trip included visits to:

Boot Key Harbor, Marathon
Looe Key
Key West
Newfound Harbor
Molasses Bay
Faro Blanco, Marathon
